We very much enjoyed our stay at the Gran Hotel Miramar. Staff was extremely friendly. We paid in advance for a sea view room which not surprisingly had a terrific view of the ocean. We very much enjoyed the breakfast and poolside service. The fine dining restaurant for dinner was also a nice choice.

One positive and negative is its location. It’s surrounded by busy streets and a little outside of the main area of Malaga. If you are looking for a secluded resort on the coast, there are others that have much more extensive grounds. This is not to place to go to play a round of golf. That being said, we very much enjoyed having access to Malaga and not staying in a generic beach resort.

We also booked with Amex Fine Hotel + Resorts. The included benefit was a couples massaged which while harder to use than a generic credit, to me, was nicer and more valuable.
