We stayed in the Penthouse room in the Devonfield Inn for one night. We appreciated the spacious and classic room with a separate living room. The bathroom and jacuzzi tub were night, though some of the fixtures had started to wear. The room is difficult to get to with large luggage, and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with mobility issues.

The grounds are lovely, complete with a large sloping backyard with a view of the hills. Would be a nice spot for a wedding.
We appreciated the pre-arrival email that offered to book additional services or activities. That’s really a win-win — make it easy for guests to add to their experience while pumping money into the local economy/vendors. Seems like a small thing, but it isn’t that common.

The breakfast was nice, and Doug and Jim were extremely friendly. They provided a list of favorite activities in the surrounding towns. Though we had a planned itinerary for the day, we ended up taking some of these helpful suggestions.
Overall, it was a nice stay and stopover experience.
