During our visit, we took a brief break to enjoy a leisurely lunch at a charming café in nearby Grand Junction. While Grand Junction is less touristy and not as scenic as other towns in the Rockies, it offered a pleasant, low-key setting to refuel and reflect on the morning’s adventures. The town’s laid-back atmosphere was a nice contrast to the grandeur of the monument.
